Bill I have had no trouble getting M&StL maps, etc. copied or scanned. Many of them have been 24-30" wide and upwards of 12' long. I go to a copy center, Kinko's or equivalent. Most are now equipped with roll scanners and copiers (call ahead if not sure) and will be happy to print copies or scan to a flash drive, ie a jpg, tiff or pdf. I provide the flash drive, and pay the subsequent fee. I have had originals that were fragile, but had no trouble. I was also able to get maps copied at my local county engineer's office, when living in a more rural area. They had a roll copier for maps, and the engineer was a railfan (which helped). Again I paid a fee.

Your drawings should be long out of copyright. And the copyright law does permit copies for personal use. I don't see where any copy center would say no. If they do find, another one, preferably near a university.
