Mike Abernethy owns the Silver View and he is on this list.  The car is in Charles City to be restored.  Last I knew, the Silver Crown, Silver Gleam and Silver Glow were all owned by the Atchison KS, RR Museum.  However, I think I read somewhere they had a new owner and now I can't seem to find that.

Would anyone happen to know the dispo of CB&Q Silver Orchid?  I see it went on to AMTK, but a friend whose slides I'm scanning mentioned seeing this car somewhere between Connorsville, IN and Cincinnati, OH on a siding all by itself, possibly in the late 1980's - early 1990's (I've not found the slide yet to know for sure).

 

He asked me if I knew what happened to the car and I was not able to locate any info on it online.

On another note, does anyone have a contact for the owner of the cars up in Charles City, IA?   Noted what appeared to be Silver View, Silver Crown and Silver Glow amongst others there about a month ago - one car had no visible ID that I have a question as to the original ID (might be an ex-ATSF "Indian" series sleeper, but not sure)  Six large windows on one end, six smaller ones on the other.
