I used microsoft excel to open the file. I needed to find microsoft office in my applications  and choose the Excel Program.

program can be downloaded from www.openoffice.com. also google docs (free
with a free gmail account) also opens and saves excel files.

Attached is spread sheet from the diagram book dated 5/53 for motor cars
LH is Lima Hamilton and or Hamilton engines with the dates for conversion of cars to diesel engines
many other cars were around but awaiting AFE's to be converted to trailers or other use
I will try and get it in the file section also

Yes, 9735 had a Lima Hamilton 685A diesel, as did various others, whilst 9816, 9841 and 9849 all received Caterpillar 375's.

This makes me curious.  CB&Q 9735 at the Jackson Street Roundhouse has a straight-six Diesel without mufflers.  While I've not heard
it run, I'm told it's pretty loud.  The prime mover is said to be a Lima-Hamilton.

I may have to take a look when I'm there today.

Cat vs. Lima-Hamilton:  Did the Q use both?
