You know, maybe I'm confusing this with a planned project to elevate the Q 
track at LaGrange.  I do need to look at the archives!

One thing is sure.Between the IC at Berwyn and the DesPlaines River there 
would have been plenty of room for another track on either side of the 
triple track. In several spots there were spurs only a few decades ago in this 
area.
