They are like the Juvenile Cuban on the Savanna(JO) to North La Crosse(CX) and
the Beaver (Ottumwa((CW)) to Creston ((CR))) orders that went up in later years
information orders.
In Dec of '83 I rode 347 one morning as we were getting ready to move to
Galesburg(I was working there and family still in Aurora) and it was so foggy
you could barely see the ground from the cab and went Galesburg to Aurora at 79
MPH just hoping no one was on the crossings and the signals were by before you
figured out what the aspect was. Rule 108??

Subject: [CBQ] Train Orders
Went thru some early 1960s Q Aurora Div train orders this evening. I
worked many a foggy night when you couldn't see your hand in front of your
face
and never saw an order like the following.
"Fog reported between Chicago and Galesburg".
Was there a major derailment in the winter of 1961-62 cause by a partially
open switch clogged with snow ?
Because for several weeks the following order was issued to trains"See that
switches are free from snow and ice before and after using and that points
fit up tightly".
