As Ken says, we probably don't need the word Pullman or the Pullman car names,
since there is such a variety of names and some of these are in the Microscale
87-1221 PULLMAN set (for HO scale). As Rich states, the desired carnames can
be pieced together. Set 87-752 is half gold and half black lettering and does
contain car types, such as UNITED STATES MAIL RAILWAY POST OFFICE, 2 and 3 line
RAILWAY EXPRESS AGENCY, BAGGAGE-MAIL, CB&Q, DINING CAR, plus several car names
and numbers, but the font is called "Ribbon Style Gothic" by Microscale.
I believe the main need is for multiple copies of BURLINGTON to be able to
letter a number of cars with one set, as Rich mentioned in his original email
that started this discussion. These need to be properly spaced for various
cars, which muddies the waters a bit, I would think. Without benefit of my
books here at work to view, were there not a variety of spacings used for not
only different length cars, but different 85 ft cars?
Including the frequently used number combinations is an excellent idea.

I agree with Rich on the first list and while I can't speak for Bill
I am not sure we need the second list as the express companies were
consolidated in WW I. I also do not think we need the Pullman names.
When I use the Champ bronze gold it just fades into the green and I
find it hard to read farther than about 6 in., so whether protorype
or not I prefer the Deluxe Gold.
