It was the Gravel Train out of Hannibal and my good friend Walter
Kincaide who was agent at Alexandria, Mo was pulled out of service as
well as the dispatcher. I still have the old coal stove that was
salvaged from the wrecked combine. It was called the Gravel Train
because it had a big pick up at the LaGrange, Mo gravel pits each
trip. The job was seasonal corresponding with the construction of
high ways in Missouri. Archie
