Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your post. I took my two kids to RR museums, train rides, etc. 
growing up, but they never developed an interest in railroads (and they both 
hate history!). We need people like you to continue the interest going with the 
CB&Q and other railroads. I hope you will remain a railfan in the future, and 
appreciate your current interest!

I was lucky to have a mother who was a train buff. When I was 14, she and I 
rode the "Denver Zephyr" westbound and "California Zephyr" eastbound between 
Aurora,IL and Denver. We spent most of our time up in the dome car, watching 
the block signals change, and the Mars light of the CB&Q E units shine up the 
route ahead. My Mom took her first train ride out of the old CB&Q Aurora 
station way back in 1916, and still liked trains right up until she died at age 
96.
