Pete,
That's the general agreement. The Aurora Div. crews on the C&I had agreed
to not use it. The only "run around" in the C&I pool was in the terminals.
If you were passed while on the road you maintained your spot at both
Savanna and Cicero. I think the Pick Up was the reason for this "local
agreement". I know from personal experience the agreement was still in place
in BN
days. If you caught a work train eastbound from Savanna you still kept your
spot in the rotation even though half the pool went by you that day. If
however you went east from Savanna and turned back then you took your spot
when you arrived back at Savanna and in essence were now on the "other side" of
the pool. Same applied if you caught a turnaround out of Aurora or Cicero
back to either.
I did get "run around" a couple times in Cicero and once in Savanna while
in the terminal,but those are stories for another time.
