Indian Red is a Dupont color that the Q used for the outline of the Herald and
the Stripes on E Units, and later, the Nose Stripes and Grilles. I don't
believe that the color
used on water tanks and other structures is the same..... the Dupont "Indian
Red" is the same color as ATSF used on their Warbonnet paint scheme.... a much
brighter red than
I recall Q used on water tanks, etc..

Does anyone know for sure when the standard changed from Indian Red to silver
?
