Just pondering fantasy what-ifs.

If Burlington had purchased new passenger power in the mid-to-late
1960s in the form of EMD FP45s, what color scheme do you think they
would have been painted in?   Being a cowl body, they would have
looked great in the Qâ??s silver Zephyr passenger scheme, the same as
the E-units.  Of course by the time they would have been delivered,
say 1968 or 69, they may have been painted in an experimental
pre-merger cascade green paint scheme, like those hockey-stick SD45s.
 Freight F-45s would have likely gotten chinese red, though the
cream-white scheme with the red heralds used on CB&Qâ??s F-units would
have been interesting too.
