[CBQ] Digest Number 2344

I thank those who have given information.  However, I have a new question.
When a new steam engine was built, at any shop, where did the tender come from?
Was it built at the same time to "match" the engine or did another maker/shop 
specialize in just building tenders?
Anyway, I thought this might be more interesting than bricks!
