Ray,
I painted one of the modernized passenger cars the society offered years
ago. After painting the car silver I got some narrow striping tape from
an auto parts store placed them on the car very closly spaced then
masked the rest of the car and sprayed a dark gray (DO NOT USE BLACK!)
then stripped the tape off and decaled it. I showed it to a friend in
the store and he had it in his hand for five minutes before he realized
it was painted fluting.
