John
Is this as much fun as arguing in court????
The train did indeed originate and terminate in CTC territory, therefore it
needed only Clearance form A and any applicable slow orders.
No. 40 originated in Denver..a register point and the beginning of CTC and
terminated at Akron also a register point and the end of CTC..Special
instructions at the bottom of page 8 TT 65 state At Denver and Akron Engineers
and
conductors must have clearance form A
.BTW the timetable schedules have no meaning at all in CTC territory. Nor is
there any superiority between trains..This is specifically and clearly spelled
out in the TT special instructions. All trains move strictly by signal
indications.
The schedules apply indpendently on each Subdivision what happens to the
train before it gets to a particular subdivision or after it leaves that
subdivison has nothing to do with its authority on an intermediate sub.
...Signals
cannot be taken down or put up at a non register point as you pointed out.
However neither is the case here since both Denver and Akron are register
points.
Therefore in line with the above premise...which is correct....it would not
be necessary for ANY TRAIN to carry signals between Denver and Akron...They are
all extras and operate by signal indication.
Therefore, as previously posited (is that a lawyer term?) the question of
flags is moot....I think the judge will rule in my favor...Them flags ain't
white.....
Steve Holding what do you say????
