I guess the poor fireman didn't have enough to do keeping the hog head happy 
let alone worrying about every country crossing.

They let you do this at the office? Shame on you!

I don't think the amount of water that could be distributed at track
speed would do anything but settle the dust. Takes rain to get a
crossing pumping mud. That is gonna happen no matter what kind
of operating practice you follow.
