Subject: [BRHSlist] Zephyr
During the 1930's the Q set a new speed record with I believe the Denver
Zephyr. Can someone supply me with the date and the name of the train
and engineer of that record. I believe the engineer was killed some
years later in a wreck while running the Zepher.
Our kindergarten class (ca 1936/37) made a mock-up of the train fo
parents day and the engineer visitedour show. I believe his name was
Boyer.
Thanks.
