I have seen pictures of SW1 BN #91 in South Dakota Black Hills branch in early 70's with a beacon. Not sure if they blinked or rotated but I used the Tsunami DCC beacon feature in my HO SW1 and looks

I checked the 9147, along with all the others I have late photos of, and I even have a 1970 view of it after being renumbered BN 91, still without a beacon, so that beacon was applied after the merge
