Hol, Thank you for responding with your helpful information. If you find evidence of an SW1 with a beacon I would appreciate knowing. Did the beacon rotate in a 360 degree circle or did it go on and off? Thanks again. It's possible that one or more Nebraska-based SW1s got them, but I haven't checked photos to make a more definite determination.

Nebraska was the first Q state to require beacons, and that law didn't take effect until 1968. So very few switchers ever got beacons, but I've attached an image of one.
