A question for those of you who have used the Bachmann body as the basis for modeling the NE-12. Is the roofwalk an integral part of the roof, or is it glued onto the roof? I would like to replace it

The roof walk is a part of the molded body. So a LOT of cutting will be needed to remove the roof. I started to remove the roof on one of my project, but gave up half way through it as I was not happ
