The Q's E9's were used in Chicago Commuter service. Later they were rebuilt by MK for continued commuter service. To my knowledge, the E9's never were used in freight. But I heard that maybe some of

Jim, One night, Clyde (BN) ran short of power for the way freight to Galesburg. Either #593 or #597 and Roundhouse Foreman Fred Colsby decided to run 2 E-9's to Galesburg. The big problem was indeed
