Kevin The numbers won't be 33xxx as that series was allocated to boxcars, but 83xxx is correct. Depending on the year you are modelling, the following were fitted with removable roofs 83105-83129 GM-

Rupert, looking at the model by Modelers Choice, it is a straight sill gondola so I think that rules out the GM-4 series. The GM-10 isn't a match either. Looking in Spoor's CB&Q Volume 3, page 21 sho

Rick What about a GM-6 #83300-83399? (I don't have a photo of them to compare) Looking at the photo suggests that the straight sill car is taller than the other, and the GM-6's were 5' 4" inside heig

The GM-6 is probably the right series. The photo of the finished model shows a number of 83526, which series would this be from (or maybe no series at all). Rick _____________________________________

Rick 83526 is a GM-6B built in 1967-8 at Havelock as part of 83500-83599. However, according to the ORER's, this group didn't have removable roofs! Rupert series -- Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --~--> $9.95

Rupert, looking at the model again, it doesn't have a roof so it is correct for what you indicated here for GM-6Bs. Thanks Rick _________________________________________________________________ On th

Rupert, Have been watching this thread. Got me totally confused. What is this "GM-6B" stuff? As to which gons had roofs that could change rather frequently. For example some of the 833xx cars had roo

Russ I must confess that the thread "moved" slightly. The original question related to roofed gondolas after someone saw a model of one on the Modellers Choice web site. I offered the road numbers an
