Isn't Serena the home of WILD BILL HICKOK???? When we were living in Joliet in 1961, prior to I 80 being completed we used to drive west on Hwy 52 then north on 51 to get to 92 to go west to Quad Cit

Pete, I don't know about Serena IL. James Butler Hickok, aka "Wild Bill" Hickok was born in Troy Grove IL on 27 May 1837 and lived on the family farm near there until 1855 when he moved to Nebraska.

Norm I think you're right...It probably was Troy Grove where I saw the sign....I wasn't looking at a map when I wrote....Just recall seeing the Serena sign and WBH reference at the beginning of those
