I've had K2 for yrs. nice model. Like most brass engines I've got, it had to be rebuilt. I haven't ever had a brass loco that didn't require some work. Several have had to be re-motored and/or re-gea

Scott; The K-2's have a good mechanism. The trouble with them is that originally they were equipped with an open frame motor that did NOT have a tension spring accross the top of the brush holders. N

My experience with the K2 was about the same as Bob's. It's a little quick out of the blocks but once it gets rolling it runs pretty nice. One thing I definitely noticed was that out of the box it co
