Not really, Scott . . . the K-1/K-2 were (mostly) CB&Q engines - the K-4s
were strictly B&MR - originally built with 69" drivers, then downsized to
64" for branch/mixed service. The big differences between the K-2 and K-4
were: slide valves on the K-2/piston valves on the K-4; straight boiler on
the K-2 /tapered boiler on the K-4; long 3-window cab on the K-2 / short
2-window cab on the K-4. Some K-4s received roll-top tenders in later years
. . . AFAIK, all K-2s retained the short express-truck tanks.
