I've had K2 for yrs. nice model. Like most brass engines I've got, it had 
to be rebuilt. I haven't ever had a brass loco that didn't require some 
work. Several have had to be re-motored and/or re-geared. K2 had to come 
out with a repalcement motor after the originals came out. My main problem 
with the K2 is that it won't pull more than one car and a waycar on my grades.
