How fresh was the paint in the photographs? Washing the cars, in those days probably used chemicals we're not supposed to use anymore, I would think the color of the paint would change with the daily

In the Athearn Genesis series of F units the only original owner of F's that we can come up with that weren't done are the TP&W's. Of course if Athearn would do them they could do an AB set and then

Over the years I've been told more than once "F" stood for Freight (perhaps those Trains articles) and "E" stood for express.... but the real answer was horsepower. 1,400 for the FT 1,800 for the E L

In one of the consist sheets from the BRHS shows "Silver Rapids" the PRR owned 10-6 in the consist of the Ak Sar Ben. The CZ equipment had almost a 24 hour layover in Chicago. Thus CZ cars were used
