I see that Rapido just announced E7's for the CB&Q. Unfortunately, they are only doing the Red nose stripe version with stainless steel panels. They have never followed through with any Black nose E8

I believe he's asking specifically about acrylic paints. I am using Tru-Color exclusively since the demise of Scale Coat I (lacquer) and Polly Scale (acrylic,) but Tru-color is a solvent based paint.

Brian, I prefer an Aluminum looking paint to silver.  I've always used Scalecoat I solvent-based Aluminum for painting brass shells.  Here are three fresh from the oven!  With the demise of Scalecoat

Brian, Those three are older HO scale Oriental Limited E8's.  I model 1950, so none of the first several orders of E8 had the stainless steel plymetal panels.  They were done with the Scalecoat I Alu
