Between Chicago and the Twin Cities CB&Q used E7's E8's and E9's right up to the beginning of Amtrak. E5's might have been used occasionally in the early 60's as well.

Warren,

 

GN only had E7s and they had problems with Rocky Mountain and and Cascade mountains by  burning out traction motors. They then used F units. The E7s were then assigned to the Badger/Gopher, Internationals, Dakotan, Red River, and maybe some others. late 60s saw the SDP40 and 45s powering the builbers and Western Star.

What power did the Q operate the EB with?  E7?  E 8/9?  Combo?Was there a cut off date?  Im interested in 60-65 era.
