The next newest picture I found was a 1986 picture, and that was painted as the Original BN Scheme, large BN Logo on the panel. I only found the one picture in 1988, but I can't tell if the coach behind the cab car was painted the same way, the train is coming under a bridge and that's in the shade.

That's why I mentioned it.

If you're searching for only 1988 photos, expand your search to, say, 1985-1992. If everything in the 85-87 range is what you described, then it's a safe bet they were done changing them by 88. On the other hand, if you find big BN panels later than 88, you know they were still in transition.
