Group - OK, I stand corrected.  Bob would've been the agent at Pleasantville, IA, during the time my dad was the Ottumwa Division Superintendent.  I remember meeting Bob with my dad, but whether it was in Ottumwa or Pleasantville, I no longer remember - Louis

I relieved Bob in 1963 while he was Agent in Pleasantville, IA. The Pleasantville depot was a museum in its own right. Bob was Ticket Clerk-Operator in Knoxville
from the Summer of 1950 to the Summer of 1952. He then became Agent at Pleasantville August of 1952 until 1964. I later relieved him at the IAAP at Dayman, IA.

Nelson mentioned where Bob's collection is housed. He would lament, "I would have to pay for copies" even though he had donated the material.

The last time i saw and talked to Bob was at the Galesburg Railroad Days where he had a table selling his books. He apparently was living in Coralville, Iowa in 2002.

If your looking for pictures of Iowa depots, Check out the John P. Vander Maas Railroadiana collection at the University of Iowa Digital Collection.
