I have found the finial chapter on Allied trucks, at least nationwide. A letter dated May 22nd 1953 pointed out failures when operated in passenger trains. A letter dated April 28th 1954 was sent to railroads recommending better maintenance. Date unknown, ballot sent to railroads recommending banning Allied trucks Jan. 1st 1955. No action taken. Jan. 5th 1955, AAR car committee recommends all Allied Full Cushion trucks be upgraded with improved swing hangers and shoes.
