Q markers were red to the rear and green for the other three lenses. The mounting bracket was on the end of the long wall, and the marker lamps were set at a 45 deg. angle ovberhanging the end of the wall. Look at waycar photos. Color photos
even show the color of the lenses. Modeling markers was easier when MV Products lenses were available, but now we have to use jewels like in the old days. Cal Scale makes a good replica of the Q marker lanterns, you must add the jewels. I don’t know the answer
to the electrification question. Probably in when wheel generators and train radio was introduced. I suspect some waycars never were electrified.
Unless you use truck pickups to light your markers, they are wrong when the cars aren’t running on trains, as the jewels still pick up light. It’s like putting people in a passenger car, then spotting it in the coach yard. Modelers can’t
have it both ways.

Subject: [CBQ] Caboose Markers
Greetings everyone.
In 1950 a train was not complete unless a caboose with Markers brought up the rear end.
Were the Marker lenses Red/Green?
Were the Markers made by Adlake?
When was electricity used to light the Markers?
Where were the Markers were attached? The porch wall? The long wall? Or on the corner at 135o
to the porch/long wall.
I suspect these questions have been asked before.
