Duncan, It will need to be wide enough on the lock side to pass a tow that is 105 ft. wide, allowing a little extra room for moving around. The lock is 110 ft. wide. There was no better experience than standing on the bridge watching a steamboat lock down river and hearing the calliope playing as it came out of the lock.
