Mike,

Don't remember Joe Tess's but do remember Crawford's in South Omaha which served Catfish Ribs and tail on rye bread.  Had their own Catfish farm in the basement.  Good eating.  Couldn't get into the place on a Friday night.

Was Joe Tess’s still open in south Omaha when you were there?  Great fish and chips.  I’m from Lincoln and spent a lot of bird hunting in the “Bohemian Alps” north of Lincoln.  I remember seeing small hot plates spaced along the bars in taverns so the locals could warm their beer.
