| Speaking of non-EMD/EMC diesels, did the Chicago-based Baldwin VO-1000’s that I see (in photos) used to haul passenger consists in and out of CUS ever stray much from that role? I gather the VO-1000’s (whether in Chicago or elsewhere) were forced on the EMD/EMC-loving Q by wartime restrictions.
