Hol - A lingering mystery there, for sure.  Thanks - Louis

The car most definitely came to Pioneer Village as a body and was placed on a four-wheel chassis that is reminiscent of a streetcar chassis.  No one at Pioneer Village can tell me when and from where the body was acquired, and without stripping paint there is no way to know which car it was on the Q.

Hol - Can you tell us the history behind CB&Q 9 (or whatever road number it once carried) now at Pioneer Village in Minden, NE?  The Museum calls the way car "narrow gauge," but obviously it was a standard gauge car.  Is this way car complete with original wheels?  Hard to tell from your earlier image that I've enhanced and attached. Almost looks like Pioneer Village ended-up with a car body that they later added wheels to.  Thanks - Louis

The Q had two types, classes NM-1 and NM-2.  Here are images of both types,  the NM-2 having been sold to the DRI&NW.  The second NM-1 shot is the one on display at Pioneer Village in Minden, Neb.

Recently I thought I saw a Q bobber way car. Either on Facebook or maybe in a book or magazine somewhere. Am I imaging this or did the Q have bobber(s)?   I’d like to see some photographs if they did

Thanks!

Warren
