The February, 1954 Model Railroader carried this J. Harold Geissel drawing
that accompanied the late BRHS member Hank Balinski's article on building
the car in O Scale.
I was able to obtain Mr. Geissel's original pencil sketch for the later
artwork and it was actually more accurate than the published drawing.   The
cupola should be the full width "Galesburg" version which was standard on
later wood waycars.
There were two groups of NM-2 Bobbers.   The "four window" cupola and
square top journal pedestals were the major differences.  The earlier group
may have had the body window marker lights as shown on the engineering
drawing.
If anyone wants to build one in 1 1/2" Scale Odd Duck Foundary makes the
Journals and Pedestals in aluminum or brass.   Hank Balinski ended up
building one in 3" Scale whose only fault is the perfection of its
craftsmanship….the CB&Q Aurora shops never did anything that good in 12"
Scale!
