Russ Repetto told me years ago that in his time on the C&I #83 performed the local work west of Oregon, primarily Milledgeville and one other town, the name of which escapes me. He said PU did the local work eastbound. I was curious how long these trains would be, on average, which would dictate the power assigned.
I'd be looking early to mid-60s.
