I have seen the photo of the two engines crossing the overpass at 'Gillette" on 
several websites. But I question that the picture was taken at Gillette. That 
is NOT what the old Hwy 14/16 overpass at Gillette looked like and it was the 
only overpass near Gillette.  But tyhe bigger problem is that those engines are 
oil burners and as far as I know oil burners were not used on the 
Sheridan-Alliance route? Were there even oil fueling facilities at Sheridan, 
Gillette, Edgemont, Alliance? I am guessing the photo was actually taken 
somewhere on the Casper side where oil burners _were_ used. 
Which brings up some questions I've had for decades about CB&Q oil burners:
1. What routes did oil burners run on?
2. What stations/terminals on the CB&Q had oil fueling facilities?
3. How were the CB&Q oil burners from Casper/Greybull to Laurel Montana fueled 
at the NP's roundhouse at Laurel? The NP did not have oil burners so was there 
oil fuel facilities there just for the Q?
