Thread-topic: [CBQ] Re: St. Francis Kansas Turntable and Engine House

I took the following information from the St. Francis station map a number of years ago.  The turntable was located opposite mainline Survey Station 4163+74 or MP 133.70.  It was north of the mainline perhaps 100' to 110' (I did not record a distance), and was 73'-4" long, placed SH in 1927.  It was 377 feet (measured along the mainline) west of the centerline of the depot (which was at SS 4159+97 or MP 133.63).  The switch to the turntable track, from a siding north of the mainline, was west of the turntable.  If you look at St. Francis in Google Earth, you can see that the switch ties to the old turntable track are still in the ground.

I did not record any information regarding the engine shed, so it may have been erased from the map.  I believe it was east of the turntable, on a short track leading from the turntable.

No, the track chart is  BN long after removal.  Not sure where the turntable and engine shed were located.
