I seem to remember running into a couple of guys that worked for the BN in a group that was trying to promote starting up commuter rail services in cities on BN track.

This stuck in my head because they were enamored with the Bombardier aluminum foil commuter cars.   This when not too many years earlier the CB&Q people would not even let the MILW/CRI&P Budd cars on the property.

Guess we’re too many years from Naperville and the lessons have to be relearned the hard way.   Subsequent fatalities in California underscored the importance of sound carbodies.
