I agree with Bob - this is not the factory. The track arrangement is wrong for the Caron spur. I'll look at the drawing tonight to try and pin this down. Great photo of Rochelle, though! Rich G

That would make the structure the gas manufacturing plant. The building stood until the mid-90s and I took some photos. I believe what's being called the sponge iron plant was located on a siding west of the gas plant, between the Caron spinning mill spur and what would become the Standard Oil pipeline terminal. The building that housed the sponge plant housed other businesses over the years.
