While I don't claim to be an expert on the subject,I do believe by 1905 the Indian issue was over and done with. As someone on other group suggested there may have been an alternative reason for the operator to inform the dispatcher and close the station.

The attached Form 31 Train Order warning of Indians on the warpath was shared with me by retired Q Galesburg locomotive engineer Bill Franckey. Can any one tell us where on Lines West the Indians went on the warpath? Neither Bill or I are familiar with the stations identified in the Train Order dated October 25, 1905. According to the Corbin book, Helper Engine 590 was a Class L-1 0-10-0 type, originally B&MR 273 built by Rogers in 1891 and retired in October 1916. Hope the engine crew escaped being scalped.....
