Ha! This is like a game of post office.

When I posted this to Facebook I mentioned it was Ardmore and Rumford, SD and Orella, NE... all can still be found on Google Maps. Also, the order is from the Alliance to Billings CD that can be purchased on eBay from Richard Baker in Kansas.

The CD is very interesting if you are a Lines West fan, although I don't see one for sale right now. It has 521 images on it. Most are orders, but there are a few timetable scans too. I see he also has one with 375 images between Kansas City and Pacific Jct.  If any of you are interested, I can get you in touch with Richard.

Take care,

The attached Form 31 Train Order warning of Indians on the warpath was shared with me by retired Q Galesburg locomotive engineer Bill Franckey. Can any one tell us where on Lines West the Indians went on the warpath? Neither Bill or I are familiar with the stations identified in the Train Order dated October 25, 1905. According to the Corbin book, Helper Engine 590 was a Class L-1 0-10-0 type, originally B&MR 273 built by Rogers in 1891 and retired in October 1916. Hope the engine crew escaped being scalped..... Best Regards - Louis
