Burlington’s
Early Budd Stainless
As we noted when describing our “Exposition Flyer” project, The “CB&Q” contributed stainless-steel streamlined cars early on. We were forced to drop these cars from our heavyweight project, but we have found another opportunity to produce the early (and trail-breaking) Budd stainless steel cars. During their long careers, these cars could be found on the Exposition Flyer, the Advance Flyer and the California Zephyr.
We will offer the 3-car set proposed to the Flyer, and as single cars. The consists varied over the years, and you can “roll your own”! As never before, your reservations will make this special models possible, so contact your Division Point dealer ASAP!
As usual, we are indebted to those folks who publish the information and photos we need. We urge you to buy their books and photos. |
