I have to say, Precision Scale's HO "Alice" model was incredible (and incredibly expensive...)  I'm sure it will be nice.  The Hallmark version couldn't even pull the three cars - only the front truck was powered.

John,

Precision Scale has announced General Pershing Zephyr in HO scale. See <http://www.precisionscaleco.com/MO%20News%20Sept%20Oct%202014.pdf>.

Yes- I saw the GPZ set on Ebay. I have a problem with the roofs (no short roof spars over the roof ends) and the letterboard on the Diner/Lounge/Observation.  The as-delivered Observation car had a large letterboard on both sides of the side-doors that said BURLINGTON ZEPHYR. The later modified cars had a short letterboard in front of the side doors only that was centered over the lower name board- and was lettered BURLINGTON. Hallmark apparently mirrored the letterboards on both sides with 'short-long' board on the left side and a 'long-short' board on the right side. This would make you put ZEPHYR BURLINGTON on the left side and BURLINGTON ZEPHYR on the right side! Still pondering over the set though.
