You are correct "Bill...The "new" CGW depot was just NE of where St. Joe Avenue
crossed...near Goetz Brewery..It was a long brick building..It stood in place
until fairly recently...I was by there just a couple of weeks ago and it
appears to be gone now..It was getting dark and I was in ahurry so didn't get a
good look.

BTW do you remember that the CGW had a long incline track up the hill olong 4th
St. just south of the crossing...Running up to IIRC an Imperial Oil
distribution center...If a car ever got away there it would have rolled almost
to Savannah.

I think you are right about all the CGW photos in St. Joe..So much has changed
that it's next to impossible to figure out where you are even when you are
there.

When the Q built their new depot further down 6th St. in 59...My grandfather
called it "That new Switch Shanty they put up down there on 6th St". It stood
until just a very few years ago and was in deplorable condition before it was
demolished.

I think I saw more locations I could ID on the CGW list than on the CB&Q list.

Pete

        Pete,

I think this change was made when Union Depot was torn down and the new
Q depot was put into service. The CGW also built there own small depot which
is not what the city fathers had in mind when they wanted Union Depot
replaced.

This is helpful for time after 1959 when the line was CTC'd from St.
Joe to Napier. I took all my info from ETT No. 66 Sept 24th 1950.
