Pete,

I have a friend that is a now retired engineer from UP that ran on the old CGW line through St Joe. He said it was always a challenge to get through there.

Thanks Bill ...I'm very familiar with St. Joe and the CGW operation through there...Talk about "convoluted"....It's a wonder they ever got a train though St. Joe in one piece and in any kind of expedicious handling.

I'll check these out.

Pete

Looking through the Chicago Great Western Collection, there are several
photos of St. Joseph MO and one of Beverly, MO. The CGW had trackage
rights on portions of the CB&Q through St. Joseph.

CGW 246 - The old St. Joseph Union Depot. The observation suggests this
might be the Silver Streak Zephyr.
CGW 247 - St. Joseph Union Depot from the other side of the depot. Note
steam is pulling the Budd Streamlined cars in the previous photo.
CGW 250 - Another view of St. Joseph.
CGW 252 - Francis St depot on the CB&Q in St. Joseph
CGW 445 - St Joseph MO. CB&Q passenger train pulled by E7A coming at camera.
CGW 447 - Another view of St. Joseph Union Depot.
CGW 448 - St Joseph Union Depot. CB&Q passenger train pulled by E7A at
depot.
CGW 501 - Beverly MO. CGW-CB&Q interlocking tower.
