I do not beleive that any of the posts were intended to be negative, and for the most part this was a healthy discussion.  However, there were some who interpreted the posts as being negative and as the "peacekeeper" of the group, I must listen and respond as I feel is needed.   This group is not intended to be an historically accurate record, but a place to share the love for the Burlington, and exchange information.  Education through polite correction is welcomed and encouraged.

I agree and I hope any posts have not been perceived as attack or condensation. A problem in maintaining history is that if incorrect facts are perpetuated then the new interpretations become the facts and the original history becomes marginalized and eventually lost. It happens all the time in language.

And, mea culpa, good or bad, reading certain things can be like nails on blackboards to some (myself included when I see the East End called the "racetrack". Oh, well......)
