Hol and I went to South High together 1960-1963, and I often walked home from South.   I would see Monkey Wards near the corner of South Broadway and Alameda and would cross the Joint Line on West Mississippi, on the south side of Gates Rubber.   I would arrive there about 4:00pm, and if they were on time, I would see the MP/D&RGW Colorado Eagle headed eastbound.
